General Manager

As a Tucanos General Manager, you will have primary responsibility for the genuine care and gratification of each guest and will oversee all facets of the restaurant’s operations. You will act as an entrepreneur, with full responsibility for all decisions made in and out of your restaurant. Your judgement, drive, passion and leadership will impact every area of the restaurant—from providing a fun and festive environment, to enkindling joy in your team, and to providing exceptional food and the finest personal care and service to your guests. Your restaurant will become a reflection of who you are and what you believe. The successful Tucanos GM plays many roles, including team captain, coach, mentor, teacher and friend. We will give you the tools and support you need, but it will be your leadership that will make the difference.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the daily operations of the restaurant, including the selection, development and performance management of team members
  • Overseeing all aspects of food quality including the inventory and ordering of food and supplies, the adherence to recipes, and the cooking, preparation and delivery of exceptional food to ensure each guest enjoys the an unparalleled dining experience
  • Ensuring adherence to the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant
  • Directing and leading your team in providing the finest personal care and service to our guests through proper hiring, training, and development of team members.
  • Maintaining a strong presence in local community and encouraging community involvement by restaurant management and team members
  • Providing accountability for the financial performance of the restaurant including budgets, sales, food costs, labor costs, and controllable expenses
  • The General Manager reports to the District Manager, and Director of Operations

Requirements:

  • College degree preferred
  • Three years of progressive and relevant experience
  • Experience in supervising and managing staff
  • Outstanding leadership skills
  • Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and scheduling
  • Strong financial acumen and P&L accountability experience
