The Financial Impact of the New Tucanos Brazilian Grill
CONSTRUCTION, FF&E, OTHER DEVELOPMENT COSTS
The estimated investment in construction, FF&E and other development costs for the Farmington restaurant space shared by the landlord and Tucanos is $3 to $3.5 million, excluding land or shell building costs.
JOBS CREATED IN DAVIS COUNTY
125 full and part-time jobs.
ANNUAL ESTIMATED PAYROLL
$1 – $1.5 million.
IMPACT OF SALES
Tucanos estimates that the new restaurant in Farmington will contribute millions of dollars to the state economy, based on the National Restaurant Association’s estimate that for every dollar spent in a table service restaurant, $1.96 is contributed to a state’s economy.
REVENUE GENERATED FROM OUTSIDE DAVIS COUNTY
Typically, more than 30 percent of Tucanos’ guests have a 20-minute or more drive time to reach a restaurant location, meaning, many guests will come from outside of Davis County to dine at the Farmington Tucanos, bringing additional resources to the county.
CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS
Tucanos’ culture includes actively engaging in the communities it serves through local non-profit organizations. For example, the non-profit, Red Barn Academy, will receive 100 percent of the net proceeds generated during the grand opening VIP event for the new Farmington Tucanos in October. Over the past 10 years Tucanos has donated more than $300,000 to Utah charities in direct contributions and provided a significant amount of food donations, in-kind offerings of food and services, or FREE Certificates (Lemonade, Dessert, Appetizer, Meal, etc.) to community organizations.
REWARDS
Over the past 10 years, Club Tucanos and Tucanos Birthday Club members in Utah have received free Birthday Meals and other rewards, to the tune of $9.4 million.
